The ratio of sponsored content to native content is increasing slowly. As pointed out rightly in the article, on websites like Buzzfeed and Storypick there are numerous case studies which suggest that sponsored stories do work well and readers do indulge them. But as there is a chance that readers might get turned off, all sponsored stories should have the element of interest, relevance and be unbiased to ensure quality and spread. My one suggestion would be to perhaps coin a reader friendly name for this concept instead of labeling it as sponsored stories.
